Comic Fiesta 2025 Brings Creatives And Fans Together

Returning for its 2025 edition, Malaysia’s largest and longest-running anime convention, Comic Fiesta, livened up the halls of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from the 20th to the 21st of December 2025. Many of Malaysia’s anime, comics, and gaming fans gathered together in this space to celebrate the fandoms that tie them together.

With the event featuring the largest art and cosplay market in Malaysia, we were spoiled for choice as we browsed through both the Basic and Premium artist booths. Each offered a delightful selection, and it was wonderful to see cosplayers interacting with their fans and selling a variety of merchandise.

Meanwhile, on the main exhibition hall on the ground floor, many exhibitors were packed into the space—each offering something interesting for the attendees flooding in. We even covered some of our favourites here! Large displays featuring various IPs and products filled the hall, with several eye-catching figures for attendees to take photographs with.

As always, Comic Fiesta had a lineup of special guests: including animator director and mecha designer Shoji Kawamori, whose work included the Macross franchise, Aquarion, AKB0048, and Earth Maiden Arjuna. The event was also graced by Naoki Hamaguchi, The Anime Man, and Aoi Ichikawa among many talented and insightful creatives.

Attendees could also attend panels on manga colouring, and fans of the original No Straight Roads could meet the cast of the sequel, No Straight Roads 2! A variety of guest performers also kept visitors entertained throughout the weekend, including the Japanese boy band B2Takes, and members of our home-grown idol group KLP48.

Night owls were also able to experience a colorful performance at the Hololive STAGE World Tour ’25 -Synchronize!- on Saturday with the lineup featuring Hololive’s Momosuzu Nene, Hololive Indonesia’s Kureiji Ollie, Hololive English’s and Mori Calliope, IRyS, and Nerissa Ravencroft—alongside Ayunda Risu (Hololive Indonesia) as well as Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame (Hololive English) joining in specifically for the Kuala Lumpur leg of the tour.

Sunday’s NIGHT JAM was no different, featuring performances by ClariS, Daoko, and Machiko. Tickets were required to enter, and the crowd was electric as they jammed along to many hits.

Comic Fiesta is the perfect way to end the year with a bang. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights, sounds, and overall atmosphere of the convention — and are very eager for 2026’s iteration!
