Last week, we reported on Animate Kuala Lumpur’s new permanent outlet in LaLaport BBCC, set to open this October with an expanded range of official anime, manga and game merchandise. A new post on LaLaport BBCC’s official website has provided more details on the new outlet, as well as the mall’s plans for a full-scale pop-culture zone known as ACG BASE.
The Animate permanent outlet will be located on the mall’s ground floor and second floor, with a new Animate Café on LG1. The Animate Café in LaLaport BBCC will operate as a takeaway-only beverage counter, offering fans a rotating series of collaboration drinks inspired by popular anime, manga, games, and VTubers.
