Philippine GameDev Expo 2025 Builds Hype With New Highlights

The Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) 2025 have revealed new attractions for the event ahead of its launch this 25th and 27th July. Touting itself as the Philippines’ leading game development event, the updates will add everything from nostalgic throwbacks to fresh indie talent.

Tito Gaming Tournament Series Opens Registration

Nostalgia will takes center stage at the Tito Gaming Tournament, a retro gaming tournament now open for registration. Aimed at seasoned gamers and arcade-era enthusiasts, the tournament features beloved classics, including:

Counter-Strike 1.3
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Tetris

Open to all proud tito and tita gamers, the tournament celebrates classic titles from the eras of internet cafés and arcade halls. Those interested in being crowned as the ultimate OG gamer of PGDX 2025 can sign up here.

Indie Game Stars Adds New Showcases

PGDX’s signature indie showcase, Indie Game Stars, has officially unveiled its sixth batch of featured local developers, forming a dynamic lineup of rising Filipino talent pushing the boundaries of creativity, design, and gameplay.

In line with the announcement, PGDX has also launched the Indie Game Stars People’s Choice, where fans and players can vote for their favorite featured game. The developer with the most votes will take home a ₱100,000 cash prize, making the event a meaningful opportunity for visitors to support the future of Filipino game development.
