Maccima Games’ ‘Eat The Rich’ Shifts Release Date To September 10

Eat the Rich, Maccima Games and Monstronauts’ upcoming “post-apo-capitalistic” social deception game, has announced a new release date. Originally slated to release on July 23, the game will now launch on September 10 via Steam and Epic Games Store, with PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile platforms to follow at a later date.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where billionaires have brought society to the brink of collapse. Now, you play as one such billionaire, pitted against your fellow moguls in a twisted game show organised by the broke masses. Trust no one, deceive everyone, spread rumours, and point fingers to gain the most wealth and avoid exile.

Take on wacky mini-games based on billionaire pasttimes, such as Tax Evasion, Crypto Miners, and Pay or Bluff. You can also challenge yourself to carnival games like the shooting gallery or toy fishing, and try out more than 30 mix-and-matchable cosmetics to steal the show in style.

“When putting on a game show that’s to die for, we wanted to make sure everything feels just right,” said Allen Tan, CEO of Monstronauts. “The team has worked incredibly hard to polish every last bit of our wacky take on the social deception genre. We look forward to welcoming trust fund titans from around the world to Eat the Rich in September!”
