HoYoFest 2025, HoYoverse’s annual celebration of its games portfolio, took place at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from July 24 to 27, 2025. The event attracted huge crowds across four days, with dedicated activities for fans of Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.
The event marks Malaysia’s biggest HoYoFest yet, having grown to include its first-ever Artist’s Alley, where fans could buy and sell fan-made merchandise inspired by their favourite HoYoverse games. The stage itinerary was also greatly expanded, with various gaming challenges that fans could participate in, as well as performances from local community figures.

The rest of the event space was filled with dedicated booths for each game, which were all impressively decorated with life-size cutouts and sculptures recreating scenes from their respective games. Fans could complete challenges at each booth for a chance to take home exclusive freebies, which included everything from photocards and bookmarks, to accessories like hairclips and hairbands.

Those looking to spend a little more could pick up various HoYo collectibles at the official merch store, though some patience was required as the merchandise queues could stretch on for hours at a time. Adding to the excitement was an Ichiban Kuji lottery, where fans could stand a chance to win exclusive prizes from their favourite games.

Having attended every HoYoFest since the event’s inception, it was exciting to see things growing bigger and better each year. Though some aspects of this year’s celebrations could have been improved, a few snags were to be expected as the event adjusted to its new ticketed format. We can’t wait to see what HoYoverse will have in store for the next one!
