Fans of the popular manga series Kaiju No. 8 are preparing for an emotional farewell as Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website recently announced that the series will conclude in just two more chapters. The highly anticipated penultimate chapter (128) is set to launch on June 20, with the 129th and final chapter following shortly after.
Naoya Matsumoto first brought the world of Kaiju No. 8 to life in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website, where the series quickly captivated readers with its unique premise and engaging storyline.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, who after ingesting a parasitic creature, gains the ability to turn into a kaiju. He must now navigate using his power while trying to become part of an organization that eliminates kaiju, all to fulfill a promise he made with a childhood friend.
The manga was adapted into a television anime in April 2024, which aired for 12 episodes. A second season is slated to debut in July 2025, alongside a recap movie , “Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon“, which will hit Malaysian theatres this June 26 via GSC Cinemas.
