Streamline Studios Reveals First Gameplay For ‘Upin & Ipin Universe’

Streamline Media Group, Les’ Copaque, and Streamline Studios have released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming open-world adventure game, Upin & Ipin Universe, as part of the Southeast Asian Games Showcase last weekend.

Upin & Ipin Universe immerses players in a dynamic and interactive kampung (village) environment, offering a nostalgic yet modern take on traditional Southeast Asian life. Featuring both story-driven progression and open-ended sandbox gameplay, this title is set to redefine how players experience the cherished characters and settings of Upin & Ipin.

The gameplay trailer showcases the vibrant world of Upin & Ipin with a host of activities designed to engage players of all ages. Explore the colorful open world, complete quests, go fishing, farm, race and interact with iconic villagers from the series. The original voices of Upin and Ipin are also set to bring authenticity to the characters in full English and Malay voiceovers.

The game includes cultural and educational elements, teaching players about Malaysian folklore, teamwork and problem-solving through its interactive design. A dynamic time-of-day and weather system adds depth, influencing gameplay with unique challenges and opportunities.

Expected to launch in Summer 2025, Upin & Ipin Universe promises an average playthrough of 12–15 hours. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
