Studio Countdown has released a new teaser trailer for Countdown to Countdown, an upcoming animated series based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Velinxi, best known for their work on other webtoon series such as Daughter of a Thousand Faces and DPS Only.
The series’ official description on Webtoon reads:
“Iris Black, a young man that possesses the special ability to bring drawings to life, is sheltered in a correctional facility that houses other “gifted” people like him. Outcasted for his inability to suppress his powers, he yearns to find himself a space where he can use his powers freely. His chance comes one night when a daring outsider sneaks into the lab.“
With over 5.4 million views and over 112,000 subscribers on Webtoon, it’s safe to say Countdown to Countdown is one of the platform’s most popular series. Most notably, the animated series is a fan project being independently produced by Studio Countdown, though its original creator Velinxi has expressed their support for the project, and receives occasional production details from the team.
Season 1 of the Countdown to Countdown animated series will premiere worldwide on YouTube in 2026. More updates on the production can be found on its official website.
