Honkai: Star Rail Will Collaborate With Fate/Stay Night This July 11

During the Honkai: Star Rail 2nd Anniversary Concert, Hoyoverse shocked players everywhere by officially revealing the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration. The event was first teased during the Version 2.4 update livestream way back in July of 2024.

The collaboration event, “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail”, will drop on the 11th of July, featuring designs by the original Fate/stay night illustrator Takashi Takeuchi. The event story is also being supervised by Kinoko Nasu, the original writer behind Fate/stay night and Fate/Grand Order.

During the concert, Hoyoverse showed off the 2 playable Fate characters that they will be releasing: Artoria (Saber) and Emiya Shirou (Archer). All Honkai: Star Rail players will get Archer for free just by logging in, which is a huge W to all of our wallets.

Hoyoverse doesn’t exactly have the best track record with free guest characters though – there’s a reason nobody talks about Aloy from Genshin Impact anymore. Will Archer be equally as bad, or will he exceed all of our expectations? Only time will tell.

Saber will be a Wind Destruction character, so unless they buff Blade (which I hope they do), meta players can safely say bye bye to your beloved Immortal husbando. Archer will be a Quantum Hunt Unit, which isnt surprising because he is an archer after all. We might even see him use a domain expansion.

So, what do you think of the event? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. For more updates, be sure to check out Honkai: Star Rail’s official social media.
