Thailand Named Official Partner Country Of Gamescom 2025

Thailand will be the Official Partner Country of gamescom 2025, the world’s largest gaming event, marking a key step in the country’s rise as a gaming powerhouse. This partnership with gamescom highlights Thailand’s growing influence in the global gaming industry, while also promoting the inaugural gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show event, happening in Bangkok this October 16-19.

As part of the partnership, Thailand will host a dedicated pavilion at gamescom 2025 to showcase its thriving game development community, creative talent, and fast-growing digital economy. The country’s presence aims to attract international publishers, investors, and media ahead of the Bangkok event, which will now be the only Asian edition of gamescom.

The upcoming gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show will feature both an entertainment area (B2C) and a business area (B2B) exhibition, with a combined event area of 30,000 sqm, a 40 per cent increase in space compared to the previous editions. The event will feature e-sports, streamer challenges, a cosplay competition, industry conferences, country pavilions and indie developer showcases.

“Thailand being named the Official Country Partner at gamescom 2025 is more than symbolic — it is strategic. This partnership gives global industry leaders a preview of what to expect from gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show in Bangkok, and reinforces Thailand’s potential as a regional hub for gaming and digital entertainment.” said the organisers of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show: Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and VP of Asia Pacific at Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit and Winradit Kolasastraseni, President – Digital Media at True Digital Group Co., LTD.

“We are proud to represent Thailand on the global stage at gamescom 2025,” said Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) “This milestone partnership is also about creating momentum for gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show in Bangkok, and accelerating the growth of our gaming industry through international collaboration.”

“Thailand’s participation as gamescom’s partner country is a launchpad,” said Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General at the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) “It is our chance to showcase Thai innovation, creativity, and investment potential — and to invite the world to join us later this year at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show in Bangkok.”
