Mumbai Comic Con 2025 to Host Indie Game Utsav, India’s Biggest Indie Game Showcase

Mumbai Comic Con 2025 will play host to Indie Game Utsav, India’s biggest game festival focusing on independently-developed PC and console games. The inaugural edition of Indie Game Utsav will showcase over 40 high-quality PC and console indie games to audiences at Jio Convention Centre this April 12 and 13.

Indian indie game developers can also connect with international publishers in attendance to level up their efforts for global success. Publishers present on ground at the event include Krafton, Garena, Epic Games, Neon Doctrine, Dangen Entertainment, Xbox, Xsolla, 1312 Interactive, and Untold Tales. Digital meet and matches at the event will feature Devolver Digital, RawFury, PluginDigital, Women in Games, WhiteThornGames, BrightGambit, Herocraft, Spielfabrique, and Toge Productions, with more to be announced.

Developers are also invited to participate in a variety of activities leading up to Indie Game Utsav:

  • Rawfury X Indie Game Utsav (March 24-25): A 2 day-event featuring Swedish indie publishing specialist Rawfury aimed at Indian developers, which includes AMA sessions, pitch deck reviews, game reviews, and general talk about the games industry.
  • Epic Games for Indies (Date TBA): Veterans from Epic Games will host Indian game developers on their discord server to skill up their overall video game approach, business development strategies, community engagement, marketing activities and more.
  • Game Maker Mixer (April 11): Indie game developers and publishers can connect in a casual setting.
  • MGN Indie Game Events (Throughout 2025): Indie Game Utsav will be teaming up with MGN Indie Game events in China, where MGN will select indie games to showcase at its events throughout the year, providing an opportunity for Indian indie game makers to have exposure towards Chinese publishers and audiences.

The showcase was founded by Avichal Singh, co-founder and game director of Nodding Heads Games, creators of Raji: An Ancient Epic, the first major PC and console success story from India. The goal is to introduce and educate India’s growing gaming community to quality made-in-India games, with a long-term vision of building a culture of PC and console gaming in India.

“Indie Game Utsav wants to pave the way for upcoming quality indie games from India to find success just like Raji, we are aiming to resolve long existing B2B and B2C problems for indies,” shares Singh. “I’m grateful for Nodwin’s support to help us celebrate India’s best and brightest indie developers at Mumbai Comic Con.”

“NODWIN started with two guys who just loved PC gaming, so supporting indie developers feels like coming full circle,” says Akshat Rathee, co-founder and MD of NODWIN Gaming, the company that runs Comic Con India. “We’ve always believed in the incredible talent of Indian indie game creators and that their work should be easily accessible to gamers. Indie Game Utsav at Comic Con is just the beginning—one of many steps towards making gaming more open and exciting for everyone.”

Indie Game Utsav is happening at Mumbai Comic Con at the Jio Convention Centre this April 12 and 13. A full list of games participating in Indie Game Utsav can be found here.
