Singapore-based publisher Soft Source will be partnering with Saudi Arabian development studio Starvania to publish Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree, with the game first releasing on PC via Steam on May 8, followed by console versions coming in Q3 of 2025.
Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree is a puzzle adventure game deeply rooted in Arabian mythology, where two mythical creatures are keeping the harmony and balance of the light and darkness within the ocean.
Players are invited to explore the stunning underwater realm of Ma’een. A once-thriving ocean, Ma’een is now corrupted by enigmatic dark entities. It’s now up to you to explore the vast cosmic sea, and harness the power of light to dispel the dark, to restore the ocean’s radiance and uncover the mystery of an ancient kingdom.
The game is being developed by Starvania, an indie game development studio based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The studio was recognized as the Best Game Startup in the MENA region at the 2024 MENA Games Industry Awards.
A demo for Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree is now available to play on Steam.
