Tokyo Indie Games Summit organizers Phoenixx Inc. have announced the special stage events lineup for its annual showcase of indie games from Japanese and global developers, taking place from March 8th to March 9th, 2025 in Kichijoji, Musashino City.
This year’s on-site events will offer entertainment, education, and excitement for indie creators, industry members, and consumers alike. On March 8th, the event’s Business Day, the Indie Game Journal will feature live gameplay sessions of indie titles straight from the show floor, as well as sharing sessions from game publishers such as Cygames and Bandai Namco.
During the event’s General Admissions Day on March 9th, select members from the VTuber agency Nijisanji will battle it out alongside attendees in the Blazing Sails “Kisshouji Pirate King Playoff” tournament. Afterward, attendees will duke it out in a tournament for the fast-paced RTS Jelly Troops, presented by Bandai Namco’s GYAAR Studio.

The Indie Game Journal will also return to showcase the various games on display during the event. The Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award will also be held on the same day, celebrating unique and innovative indie games crafted by creators from around the world. More details on the Award are expected to be revealed in the near future.
“Tokyo Indie Games Summit began with the aim of providing a place for indie game creators to gather, be inspired, and foster a sense of community,” said Kazunori Sakamoto, CEO of Phoenixx and founder of Tokyo Indie Games Summit. “To celebrate our third year, we are announcing the Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award.”
