US-based two-woman team Lovely Inc. are set to launch a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming title Snowkissed Romance, a dating simulator inspired by 90’s anime and games like Sailor Moon, Marmalade Boy and Tokimeki Memorial.
You play as a student on your final winter break before college in December of 1994, visiting your aunt’s charming ski resort in the fictional Japanese town of Yukihari. Your peaceful holiday quickly transforms into an emotional journey when your brother brings along three of his college roommates – who also happen to be your childhood friends. Will you reconnect with your old friends, meet new ones, or end the season alone?
Game Features
- Customizable Main Character: Players can select their name, gender, zodiac sign, and even blood type. An in-game personality quiz will also help players create a truly custom profile and appearance.
- Personality Development: Every decision players make, from how they spend their days to how they interact with the cast, will reflect their personality and may even impact their compatibility with the characters.
- Build Your Stats: You’ll need to manage your stats throughout the game, including Intelligence, Athleticism, Sensitivity, Style, Elegance, Resilience, Charisma, Charm, and Stress.
- Harem-Style Dates: Players can date two love interests at a time, as long as both characters agree to it.
- Hear His Voice: Listen to special messages from your love interest via a 90’s style-messenger charm.
- Cafe Mini-Game: Earn extra money for gifts and activities by working at your Aunt’s Cocoa Shop.
- Day Planning: Choose how to spend your day, with players being able to customise which activities they want to participate in, and who they want to go with. Every in-game location also has different stat boosts and secrets to uncover.
- RNG: Snowkissed Romance will employ RNG elements to make every playthrough unique, with randomised weather and different encounters around the resort.
- Multiple Endings: Every playthrough will offer a unique conclusion, from finding your one true love, to dramatic love triangles, or even just walking away from the mountain alone.
Voice Cast
Snowkissed Romance will also feature an all-star voice cast of renowned English anime dub actors, including:
- David Matranga (Shoto from My Hero Academia, Takumi from Maid-Sama) as Ren Usui, a calm and collected character who enjoys making others laugh.
- Aaron Dismuke (Senku from Dr. Stone, Miyuki from Kaguya-Sama Love Is War) as Kichirou Ishii, a quiet and reserved man who doesn’t easily show his emotions.
- Kaiji Tang (Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, Jinshi from The Apothecary Diaries) as Yoh Moriyama, a rebellious, flirtatious type who loves pushing boundaries.
- Jessie-James Grelle (Yuri from Yuri On Ice, Ritsuka from Given) as Shinichirou Matsubara, the kind and caring golden boy of Yukihari.
A free demo for Snowkissed Romance is currently available on Steam and itch.io, allowing players to experience the first three days of the game ahead of its release.
