SIGONO Games has announced the Japanese voice cast for the main characters of its upcoming game OPUS: Prism Peak, starring Kana Ichinose (Fern from Frieren, Suletta from Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) and Shinichiro Miki (Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist) as the game’s lead characters.
OPUS: Prism Peak is described as a story-driven adventure where you play as a weary, middle-aged photojournalist (Miki), retreating to the countryside after a life of disappointment in the city. An unexpected accident finds him trapped in an ethereal mountain realm outside of reality, where he crosses paths with a mysterious girl (Ichinose).
Using nothing but his old camera, the journalist must explore the enigmatic world and its ties to the world he left behind, gather clues to uncover its mysteries, and ultimately find his way back home.

While little else is currently known about the game, the SIGONO Games website hints that photography will be a key mechanic in the gameplay. Players must “take in their surroundings, understand what each spirit desires, and capture the realm’s secrets through their lens”.
The protagonist will also have the opportunity to form bonds with the many spirits residing in the alternate realm, including the mysterious girl who accompanies him throughout his journey. Her presence will offer him a different angle that allows him to see the world more clearly.

OPUS: Prism Peak is the latest instalment in SIGONO Games’ highly acclaimed OPUS series. Its 2021 release, OPUS: Echo of Starsong, was nominated for and won eleven international awards, including Excellence in Audio and Excellence in Design at the Gamescom Asia Game Awards in 2021.
More announcements for the game and its supporting voice cast are expected to be revealed soon. Follow SIGONO Games on X/Twitter for the latest updates.
