Slice of life webcomic ‘My Giant Nerd Boyfriend‘ recently hit the 1,000 chapter milestone on WEBTOON. Written and illustrated by Malaysian artist fishball, the webcomic follows her daily hijinks as she navigates life with her 6’5″ geeky boyfriend (now husband!)
As the webcomic’s description goes: “Having a boyfriend who’s a full foot taller than you might seem adorable at first, but it usually just ends up causing a whole bunch of minor inconveniences.”
With this simple premise, the first chapter of ‘My Giant Nerd Boyfriend’ was published on 6th March 2017, marking a seven year journey to its 1,000th chapter on 26th June 2024. It has since become one of the most popular series on the WEBTOON platform, with over 2.3M subscribers and 810.7M total views.
The WEBTOON official account congratulated the comic artist with a heartfelt tweet: “We’ve laughed, cried, and saw boyfriend become husband. We’re so excited to continue this journey and read what’s to come.”
