MusicWerks Studio is thrilled to announce Animenia, a groundbreaking music festival that promises to captivate audiences and push the boundaries of orchestral performances. Join us for an unforgettable music experience that is Animenia, happening on the 27th July 2024 at Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre.
The main event will feature a fusion orchestra that encompasses an extraordinary blend of classical orchestration and contemporary sounds, creating a vibrant and dynamic musical experience for all anime music lovers.
Raja Farouk Live (RFL) — a 30-piece orchestra composed of up-and-coming musicians from diverse musical backgrounds in the local anime, cosplay, and gaming scene — will take the stage to perform an eclectic mix of compositions that seamlessly bridges the divide between traditional and modern instruments, vibrantly reimagining the anime and games music we know and love.
Throughout the day, the music festival will feature live performances from local Japanese inspired rock bands through the collaboration with JRock Malaysia. Festival goers can also participate in a host of fun activities including a Wasabi Challenge presented by Sakae Sushi, a cosplay competition, and arts and crafts booths from local creators.

Experience reimagined classics alongside brand new compositions, all performed with a fusion twist that highlights the versatility and creativity of the orchestra such as the inclusion of traditional instruments Er-Hu and Gu-Zheng in an orchestra ensemble.

The Fusion Orchestra boasts a line up of talented musicians who are homegrown musicians within the anime, cosplay, and gaming community itself, bringing together a wealth of experience and passion for musical experimentation.

The event will feature crisp, clear sound and lighting design, enhancing the overall experience and immersing the audience in the performance.
Special Guest Performance
The night will also include an appearance by renowned songwriter and producer Sharon Paul who will join the orchestra for an unforgettable collaboration.
