Kriegsfront Tactics Reveals Narrative-Driven Prologue, Deploying This July 18

Attention pilots! Toge Productions, the studio behind the cozy barista and talking sim, Coffee Talk, has announced the preview of their next game. Kriegsfront Tactics – Prologue, the opening chapter of their upcoming turn-based mecha squad tactics game, is set to deploy on Steam on July 18th, 2024.

Set in the alternate 1970s during an era of conflict in Southeast Asia, you’ll play as a commander of a mecha squad sent behind enemy lines to crush a burgeoning rebellion. Manage your squad, resources, and mechs. Complete missions, and survive the front another day, while facing hard decisions that will test your morality.

The development of the game was heavily inspired by the studio’s own love for the mecha tactics genre, including their founder and CEO Kris Antoni, who is a big fan of Patlabor and Front Mission. With the turn-based mecha tactics genre being abandoned by the games industry, the team at Toge Productions started exploring the idea of making a spiritual successor to Front Mission and bringing it to the modern age.

In the Prologue, players will get a first look at the political drama and personal tales of its mecha pilots. Wander through the jungle to reach your goal, engage in battles, and find bits of the lore along the way through fully voiced characters that make the story come alive.

Test your tactical skills with additional battle stages, each with its own challenges and strategies; immerse yourself in the nostalgic charm of early 2000s gaming; and get creative with options to customize your mechs for a truly unique combat experience.

Try the Kriegsfront Tactics – Prologue on Steam, and top up your Steam Wallet on Codashop.
