Malaysian Game ‘Rhythm Doctor’ Wins At The 2024 Independent Games Festival Awards

Malaysian game ‘Rhythm Doctor‘ was awarded Excellence In Audio at the 2024 Independent Games Festival Awards earlier today. Developed by 7th Beat Games, ‘Rhythm Doctor’ is a unique rhythm game where you save your patients by defibrillating in time to their heartbeats.

Not only does this mark the first time a Malaysian studio has won an award at the IGF Awards, the studio also previously received a Student IGF nomination for the game back in 2024.

Among the other nominees in the category were A Highland Song (inkle), COCOON (Geometric Interactive), Nour: Play With Your Food (Terrifying Jellyfish), Tchia (Awaceb), and Venba (Visai Games).

The IGF Awards takes place during the week of the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), happening in San Francisco this year from March 18th to 22nd.
