The Complete List of Annie Awards 2024 Nominees & Winners

The 51st Annie Awards is happening this February 17th, celebrating the past year’s achievements in animated movies, television, streaming, and more. For the first time ever, animation powerhouses Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks were left out of the Best Feature nominations this year.

Instead we have ‘Nimona’, ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’, and ‘The Boy and the Heron’ leading the nominations for featured films this year, while ‘Blue Eye Samurai’ and ‘Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur’ lead the way for animated series.

Juried Awards will also be presented honoring unparalleled achievement and exceptional contributions to animation.

The Winsor McCay Award in recognition of lifetime or career contributions are being presented to three recipients:

  • Charlotte “Lotte” Reiniger (posthumous)
  • Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi
  • National Film Board animator and producer Marcy Page

The June Foray Award in recognition of significant and benevolent or charitable impact will be presented to:

  • The BRIC Foundation co-founders Alison Mann and Nicole Hendrix

The Ub lwerks Award for technical advancement affecting the animation industry will be presented to:

  • John Oxberry (posthumous).

The Special Achievement Award recognizing unique and outstanding achievement not recognized within the existing award category structure will be presented to:

  • The Artists of Walt Disney Animation.
