The First Ever Southeast Asian Indie Games Collection Arrives at PAX Australia

Swimming all the way from Southeast Asia to down under, “SEA What I Made! (SWIM)” will be making its debut at PAX Australia this 6-8 October 2023. SWIM is presented by business-development games agency Ukiyo Studios, and marks the largest Southeast Asian indie games delegation of its kind to grace Australian shores.

The booth will have a total of 15 titles from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines and feature a variety of game genres from turn-based RPGs to Southeast Asian-inspired Diablo-likes and even restaurant management sims.

“When people think of the Asia-Pacific games industry, what usually comes to mind is just Australia and New Zealand. Our goal with developing this booth is to highlight our neighbours in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines as well,” says Ukiyo Studios co-founder, David Cardenas.

“The Southeast Asian region is one that is not just geographically close to Australia, but culturally close as well. It simply makes sense for us to be building this bridge to connect Australia with Asia. We’re excited to be making video game history in a big way through ‘SEA What I Made.'”

Prior to PAX Australia, Ukiyo Studios has exhibited many gaming clients at global conventions including Taipei Game Show, PAX East, BitSummit, Gamescom, PAX West and Tokyo Game Show. Ukiyo Studios will also be attending Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) in Melbourne.
