PlayStation is taking the next step towards higher accessibility in gaming with the launch of their newest controller for the PS5 — the PlayStation Access. This versatile controller kit enables gamers with disabilities to play more comfortably for longer periods of time, empowering more players to share in the joy of gaming.
If you’re wondering how it works, the PlayStation Access lets you customise the layout of your controller however you like. From different button and stick caps in various shapes and designs, to the ability to operate the controller from any 360° orientation.
Each button on the controller can also be configured through the PS5 console. You can map buttons to create up to 30 control profiles, adjust stick settings, toggle commands on/off, or disable buttons altogether to stop accidental pressing. You can even pair up to two Access controllers and one DualSense controller and use them in tandem.
Starting July 21, the PlayStation Access will be available for pre-order from select retailers across Malaysia (MYR 449), Singapore (SGD 128.90), Thailand (THB 3,090), Indonesia (IDR 1,649,000), Philippines (PHP 5,090), and Vietnam (VND 2,599,000) with its global launch coming later this year on December 6.
