It’s almost the end of the month, but Overwatch 2 couldn’t pass up the chance to use this pun. PachiMarchi is a returning in-game event featuring a new game mode, cosmetics, and an Epic Roadhog skin available now until 4th April 2023. Here’s everything you need to know.
New Game Mode: Catch-A-Mari
Much like Team Deathmatch, Catch-A-Mari is a 3v3 “elimination-confirmed” game mode where teams will coordinate to stay alive and defeat opponents — but there’s a Pachi-twist! Each time an opponent is eliminated, they will drop a Pachimari toy which needs to be collected in order to score a point. If an opponent grabs the toy first, they prevent the other team from scoring. Catch-A-Mari will be available on the arena maps of Blizzard World, Kanezaka, Downtown Busan, and even a new event-themed Hanamura.
New Cosmetics: Icons, Name Card & Weapon Charm
Login to Overwatch 2 from now until 4th April to earn a free special “Hogimari” player icon. Completing specific challenges will also earn you all-new Pachimari icons based on your favourite heroes, a Pachimari name card, and a mischievous-looking Pachimari weapon charm. These challenges are:
- Complete 5 games of Roadhog’s Catch-A-Mari (PachiMischief Weapon Charm)
- Score 3 points in Roadhog’s Catch-A-Mari (Pach-Amari Player Icon)
- Use 1 jump pad in Roadhog’s Catch-A-Mari (PachiMei Player Icon)
- Deny 3 points in Roadhog’s Catch-A-Mari (TorbiMari Player Icon)
- Score or deny 40 points in Roadhog’s Catch-A-Mari (5,000 Battle Pass XP)
- Complete 4 games (OrisaMari Player Icon)
- Complete 8 games (PachiMoira Player Icon)
- Complete 12 games (WreckiMari Player Icon)
- Complete 16 games (Triple Pachimari Name Card)
Limited-Time Skin: Pachimari Roadhog Epic Skin
Complete six of the event challenges to earn the Pachimari Roadhog Epic Skin, along with 80,000XP on the Season 3 Battle Pass. This is the most XP ever for an event in Overwatch 2, so Battle Pass grinders take note! If you’re looking for even more XP, there will also be another Double XP weekend starting on 24th March 2023.
