It is without a doubt that Naruto has shaped some of our childhoods and moved us to tears and anticipation with some of their iconic scenes. When the baton was passed to Boruto, we wondered when would we ever see the young growing Naruto we have grown to love. Well, we don’t have to wait long because we are in for a treat!
In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Naruto manga series on the 21st of September, it has been announced that Boruto will be having a new arc! It features an encounter between Boruto and the young Naruto, his father during his childhood time.
The new arc will commence on the 6th October and will run for two cours (one cour is 12-13 episodes) until March 2020.
And of course, Junko Takeuchi will reprise her role as the number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja, Naruto! She, along with Boruto’s Voice Actor and Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto has even left us a few messages.
Junko Takeuchi, Voice Actress of Naruto
“Wow! Child Boruto will be meeting and talking with Child Naruto! The smart Boruto and the number one unpredictable Naruto will be meeting! What kind of relationship will the two build? Don’t miss it. ^_^”
Yuko Sanpei, Voice Actress of Boruto
“Not just one but most of my dreams have come true! That’s how hot the development is now. I can’t want to see your reaction when it is aired. I will also put my very best in the recording session. Please stay tuned!
Masashi Kishimoto, Author of Naruto
“I bet it’d be interesting if Boruto met the young Naruto during his childhood!” The crazy idea I told the staff has been answered! In addition to Boruto, Naruto and Sasuke and even the old characters will be appearing too! Please enjoy watching it!

For this new arc, Miwa will be performing the new opening theme song titled まっすぐな感情を大切に (Cherish Straight Forward Emotions). The ending theme goes to a rock band known as Longman with their song, Wish On.
Are you excited to witness this legendary meeting? Are we going to see the legendary swing again? I might not be a Boruto fan, but this is definitely in my watchlist!
