Sony’s “Masters of the Universe” Slated For Early 2021 Release

In case you haven’t heard, yes! There’s a new He-Man film being made right now! Variety reports that Sony has dated the movie release on March 5, 2021. The movie stars Noah Centineo – known for his acting opposite Lana Condor in the Netflix feature “To All the Boys I Loved Before”, as the muscle-bound warrior, or as he’s more commonly known, “The Most Powerful Man in the Universe”.

Masters of the Universe” is based on the highly popular He-Man toy line by Mattel, which became the basis for an animated series from 1983 to 1985, as well as a 1987 film starring Dolph Lundgren. He-Man is the alter-ego of Prince Adam, who uses the magical power sword to transform into a warrior and do battle against the evil villain Skeletor, alongside allies Teela, Man-at-Arms, Orko and the Sorceress.

The production will be directed by Aaron and Adam Nee, based on a script rewritten by Iron Man screenwriters, Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. No other cast members other than Centineo have been confirmed yet however, so stick around for more news to come!
