The Team That Brought You ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ Is Making A Series About Space And Dinosaurs

Cartoon Network recently greenlit a new animated series from the same team that created ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’, a new science fiction comedy named ‘Elliot from Earth’. The series will begin at 20 episodes, following the story of a human boy named Elliot who finds himself living on a spaceship with a dinosaur and aliens from across the universe. (I’m already getting ‘James and the Giant Peach’ vibes, are you?)

Guillaume Cassuto, former scriptwriter and composition supervisor on ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ is the creator of this story, and although little has been revealed about it yet, it has been said to be “a show about finding your place in the world.”

The show already seems like an embodiment of ‘The Little Prince’ and many other colloquial tales. What more with the script writing, story boarding, and editing teams from ‘Gumball’ on board, we’re bound to be in for something real special.

Production on ‘Elliot from Earth’ begins September 2018.
