Coming soon to your local Netflix from the head writer and director of the widely beloved ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ is a new epic fantasy series about dragons and magic!
The official announcement for ‘The Dragon Prince’ rolled out on social media last week, giving us our first glimpse at the art concept for the series. The story surrounds two human princes who forge an unlikely bond with the elfin assassin sent to kill them, embarking on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.

The series will be produced by Wonderstorm, an entertainment startup with an illustrious resume. Not only have they worked on ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, they’ve also contributed to other animated series like ‘Futurama’ and even AAA video games like ‘Uncharted’ and ‘League of Legends’.
Although few details besides the basic plot have been revealed thus far, an interesting tidbit can be found on their official Twitter page. In their bio, under Location, you can find it set to a fictional place called Xadia. Could this be where the story will take place?
We’ll just have to wait until San Diego Comic-Con for more information. The creators will be hosting a panel at the convention on 21st July 2018.
