Pat down your skirts and get ready to rock with the television anime adaptation of Jasmine Gyuh’s comedy manga, Back Street Girls!
Kodansha’s Young Magazine’s official website revealed that the anime is set to premier in July of 2018. The series will be directed by Chiaki Kon, with scripts handled by Susumu Yamakawa, and sound direction handled by Jin Aketagawa.
Back Street Girls is centered on the journey of 3 yakuza men who have failed their boss for the last and final time and are forced into becoming a female idol group. A year later they debut with an unfortunate and unprecedented surge of popularity. Watch as the three hilariously face difficulty in hiding their former selves from their fans.

Back Street Girls: Washira Idol Hajimemashita is a manga that was first serialised during March of 2015 in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine, Weekly Young Magazines.
