Kojima Productions revealed new details for Death Stranding Isolations, the studio’s upcoming anime series, during the studio’s 10th anniversary celebration event in Tokyo, Japan. A new teaser trailer and poster were released during the event, giving us our first look at some of the characters and settings in action.
Kojima Productions describes the series: ” ‘My mom became a crater.’ The Death Stranding—a catastrophic series of explosions caused when the dead crept into our world and collided with the living.“
“In the wake of this cataclysm, many were forced to live in absolute isolation—among them, a young girl. Although this lonely existence was forced upon her, she soon grows to prefer solitude, eschewing all opportunities for real human connection and allowing herself to be strung along by fate.“
Death Stranding Isolations will be directed by Takayuki Sano, with animation provided by E&H Production (NINJA KAMUI, BULLET/BULLET, the Magic Knight Rayearth television series), series composition and screenplay by Tow Ubukata, and featuring character designs by Ilya Kuvshinov. Death Stranding series creator Hideo Kojima serves as executive producer.

As a result, I approached this production with an exceptionally strong sense of duty and responsibility. I knew that no matter what, I needed to accomplish the same thing,” commented director Takayuki Sano.
