Capcom debuted a dramatic new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword at Gamescom Opening Night Live, along with updates to the game’s public demo, available now on all major platforms.
The newly updated demo adds new elements, such as a second quest exploring the Oni Refuge. This surreal stage features an early slice of the story where players are introduced to new gameplay mechanics and the towering boss Daidara.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches on 4 September 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
Pre-orders are now available, with players who secure the Standard, Deluxe, or Premium Deluxe editions before 24 September 2026 to receive Early Adopter Bonuses as rewards.
