The inaugural Evo Singapore will take place at Marina Bay Sands this January 15-17, 2027, officially crowning Singapore as the first Southeast Asian location for the prestigious fighting game tournament. The news was announced at Evo Las Vegas 2026, which concluded this past weekend.
While the main game lineup for the event has yet to be announced, it is likely that Tekken 8 will have a major presence, as the Tekken World Tour 2026 Finals will run concurrently with Evo Singapore. Group stages for the Tekken World Tour will kick off on January 14, followed by a Last Chance Qualifier, before culminating in the Grand Finals at Evo Singapore.
The Evolution Championship Series, also known as Evo, is the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game tournament, having been established in 2002, with previous events held in the U.S., Japan, and France. The recently concluded Evo Las Vegas featured an expanded lineup of 12 titles, with a combined prize pool of over $500,000 up for grabs.
Evo will conclude the year with an upcoming event in France, happening at the Palais des Expos in Nice on October 9 -11. The French event will feature a prize pool of over $75,000, contested over eight categories.
