Kingdom Hearts IV Reveals New Trailer & Bundle For First Three Games

Square Enix has officially announced KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III], a complete bundle of the main KINGDOM HEARTS saga launching on October 8, 2026. The announcement was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct showcase, alongside a new trailer for the highly anticipated KINGDOM HEARTS IV.

KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] includes KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. The collection will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Microsoft Store on Windows.

Unlike the previous Nintendo Switch cloud versions, the new collection will be available natively on current-generation platforms. This makes the release especially important for players who want a smoother and more accessible way to experience the series. Pre-orders are open across all platforms now.

What is included in Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III]?

Players will be able to buy the games individually or as part of the complete bundle. The full KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] will be available physically and digitally. However, the individual collections will be released as digital-only titles.

Square Enix also confirmed that KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- will be available natively on the original Nintendo Switch.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] pre-order bonuses

Square Enix also revealed several platform-exclusive bonuses for selected purchases of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind.

Nintendo Switch 2 players who buy the digital or physical edition of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III], or the digital edition of KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind, will receive the Long Night Keyblade.

PlayStation 5 players will receive the Midnight Blue Keyblade, while Xbox Series X|S players will receive the Phantom Green Keyblade. Digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will also include 48-hour early access for KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind.

Existing players can receive a 50% discount

Players who already own digital versions of the games on Nintendo Switch Cloud Version, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One may be eligible for a 50% discount. This discount applies to digital pre-orders and digital post-launch purchases on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Nintendo Switch Cloud Version owners will also be able to transfer save data to Nintendo Switch 2. However, save data transfers will not be supported on other platforms. Square Enix has confirmed that sales of the Nintendo Switch Cloud Version ended on June 9, 2026. Service for the cloud version will be discontinued on June 9, 2027.

Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind demo now available on Nintendo Switch 2

A free demo for KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo includes two sections:

The first section covers the beginning of the game through the early stages of Olympus, the world inspired by Disney’s Hercules. Save data from this section will carry over to the full game at launch. The second section covers the beginning to middle part of Toy Box, the world inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story. Save data from this section will not carry over to the full game.

This gives new players a chance to try the game before the full release of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III].

Kingdom Hearts IV gets a new trailer

Square Enix also revealed a new trailer for KINGDOM HEARTS IV during the Nintendo Direct showcase. The trailer confirms that KINGDOM HEARTS IV will launch for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The game follows Sora as he journeys through the mysterious city of Quadratum. Familiar characters will return, while new figures and powers will also appear in the next chapter of the series. Square Enix has not yet announced a release date for KINGDOM HEARTS IV. More details will be shared in the future.

The Kingdom Hearts series will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2027. First released in March 2002 for PlayStation 2, KINGDOM HEARTS has become one of Square Enix’s most recognisable RPG franchises. Created through a collaboration between Disney and Square Enix, the series has shipped over 39 million units worldwide.
