On November 15, the Chinese streaming service BiliBili held its 8th China-made Animation Showcase, an online press conference unveiling 40 new and returning animated series from Chinese creators.
A major highlight from the event was a new instalment in the popular The Legend of Luo Xiaohei series, titled “Preschool Arc”, set to air in the later half of 2026. The new series follows the massive success of this year’s The Legend of Hei 2, an animated film in the Luo Xiaohei series that earned over $49 million at the Chinese box office.
Link Click is also set to return for a third season in 2026, with fans being treated to a new trailer and key visual for the upcoming season. Series director Haolin revealed that the 2026 release will be the the first half of a two-parter, with the second half releasing sometime in 2027, making up a full 24-episode season.
Other highlights from the showcase include:
- I Sweep Trash In A Garbage World (我在废土世界扫垃圾, official English title unconfirmed), an adaptation of a popular webnovel. Set in a world where 80% of the land is polluted, we follow Zhu Ning, a low-ranked citizen who works as a trash-collecting janitor, as she purifies polluted zones inside cyberpunk-styled “instances”, only to gradually uncover a major conspiracy created by a biotech corporation.
- The animated anthology series Yao – Chinese Folktales will return for a second season on January 1, 2026, featuring nine different shorts.
- The First Frost, another popular webnovel adaptation, which was previously adapted into a radio drama that garnered over 140 million listens. The upcoming animated adaptation will see the original radio drama voice actors reprising their roles.
- The Legend of Sword and Fairy, an animated adaptation of a popular Chinese role-playing game series of the same name.
