During the recent Aniplex Online Fest, the Japanese entertainment company revealed their new original anime project, Inherit The Winds (Kaze wo Tsugumono).
Set in the Bakumatsu era in Kyoto, the anime follows an amnesiac soldier who is aided by the famous Shinsengumi member Soji Okita. Soji Okita names this anonymous man “Junsuke Tachikawa”, and hence, Junsuke’s new life begins amidst the Mibu soldiers.
Yutaka Narui will be showrunning and writing the scripts for this original story together with Aniplex and Azuki Mashiba. Narui is the playwright and founder of the theatrical troupe Caramel Box, who has previously worked on several stage plays involving the Shinsengumi.
Tomohiro Kawamura will be directing the anime at Live2D Creative Studio and Drive Inc, Fumi Ebina will serve as the character designer, and Shigeru Kishida will be composing the music.
