‘VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works’ Artbook Is Now Open For Pre-Orders

Sukeban Games, Ysbryd and Lost In Cult have announced VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works, a premium art and design book based on the beloved cyberpunk bartending sim VA-11 Hall-A.
The book, which is set to ship in Q2 2026, will chronicle the entire creative journey of VA-11 Hall-A through in-depth commentary, concept art, and exclusive developer insights.

“VA-11 Hall-A’s visual identity, storytelling, and emotional resonance make it a perfect fit for our Design Works series,” said Ryan Brown from Lost In Cult. “Almost a decade on from its debut, we’re treating this title with the respect and prestige it deserves, working closely with the original creators to craft something truly special for the fans.”

VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works delves into the corrupt sprawl of Glitch City, exploring its culture, characters, and the iconic dive bar at the heart of the game. The book will not only feature concept art, but also contemporary interviews with writer/programmer Fernando Damas, artist/designer Christopher Ortiz, and composer Michael Kelly, providing a rare glimpse into the unique challenges they faced bringing their vision to life.

It offers fans a deeper understanding of the world’s creation and the cyberpunk influences that shaped it, whilst also providing a rare glimpse into the history of Venezuela – home of the development team – and the unique challenges they faced bringing their vision to life.

Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of VA-11 Hall-A: Design Works open on April 10th at 6pm BST, and will be available for a limited 60-day window, closing on June 5th at 6pm BST. The Deluxe Edition will only be available during the pre-order window and will not return, offering exclusive perks such as:

  • A variant hardcover with exclusive artwork.
  • A collector’s slipcase and themed housing box.
  • Ephemera such as posters, stickers, and art cards.
  • Early bird signed bookplates for the first 1,000 orders.

“VA-11 Hall-A was a labour of deepest love. For its medium, for its inspirations, for humanity itself,” offers Fernando Damas, writer and programmer at Sukeban Games. “For such a work to be chronicled we expected nothing less than it being handled by those that love it as much as the game loves them back.”
