GSC Hosts ‘Blue Lock The Movie: Episode Nagi’ Fan Screening On August 10

Blue Lock The Movie: Episode Nagi, the first movie from the Blue Lock franchise, premiered in Malaysia this August 1st exclusively in Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC).

Based on the highly popular manga with over 30 million copies in circulation, Blue Lock follows protagonist Yoichi Isagi, an unknown high school football player, who decides to join the eponymous football program in order to become the best striker in the world. However, those who fail the notorious Blue Lock training regimen will never again be permitted to represent Japan.

Blue Lock The Movie: Episode Nagi is a prequel to the anime series with a 1 hour and 30 minute run time. It follows the perspective of soccer genius Nagi Seishiro instead of the series’ main protagonist.

The movie’s summary is as follows:

“That’s a hassle.” That was second-year high schooler Nagi Seishiro’s favorite phrase as he lived his dull life. Until Mikage Reo, a classmate who dreamed of winning the World Cup, discovered Nagi’s hidden skill, inspiring him to play soccer and share his outstanding talent. One day, he receives an invitation to the mysterious “BLUE LOCK Project”.

What awaits him there is an encounter with the finest strikers assembled from across the country. Nagi’s dream of becoming the best, alongside Reo, will take this prodigy to a world he’s never known. A prodigy can only be shaped when someone discovers him…. Now, striker Nagi Seishiro’s incredible talent and persona will set the soccer world ablaze.

To celebrate the movie’s premiere, GSC is also hosting a special Blue Lock The Movie: Episode Nagi fan screening on August 10th (Saturday) at 3PM at their Mid Valley Megamall outlet. Each ticket is RM90 and comes with a special fan screening merchandise set.
