Cosplay Commuter Chibi (CC Chibi) is back for more excitement and fun! Cosplay Commuter is an annual one-day Amazing Race styled team-based event that was pioneered by THE MAGIC RAIN back in 2017. It is a first-of-its-kind cosplay event conducted on the light rail transit, with a unique twist at the end of each event!
Since its inception, a total of three Cosplay Commuter events have been conducted from 2017 to 2019. We also adapted our signature event to a completely virtual experience, entitled Cosplay Computer that took place during the lockdown in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Nearing the end of 2021, we also had the pleasure of organising the first Cosplay Commuter Chibi alongside Festival Food Truck Malaysia.
This year’s event will be no less than fun! The theme for Cosplay Commuter Chibi 2022 is ‘Japan‘, and the event is set to take place in Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 10 December 2022 from 10am to 10pm. Below are some of the programs that we have in store!
Station Games
Taking inspiration from the original Cosplay Commuter, there will be different station games located around the mall, where participating teams get the chance to compete against each other to gain as many points as possible and aim for the top.
Some games you can expect include Tokyo Town Photo Hunt, What’s In The Box, Football Kick Off, Traditional Games, Vanguard Mix and Match and Test Your Rhythm.
Event Highlight
To keep with Cosplay Commuter tradition, we are creating the largest TikTok filmed at a cosplay event with the help of TikTok’s resident “Peribahasa Girl”, Pudds! You do not want to miss out on this epic moment in the history of ACG events.
Stage Activities
There will be various stage activities for those who are not participating in the race, from performances by talented guests to fun challenges hosted by emcees Pudds and Aimon. Various performers from the ACG community will be showcasing their talent live on stage, so don’t forget to drop by and show some support!
