Summer is almost over, but it’s never too late to catch up on some awesome anime series! If you aren’t sure where to begin watching, here’s some of our recommendations from this season:
1) Lycoris Recoil
Cute girls doing cute things, but with a John Wick twist. Despite being a show that revolves around a group of armed schoolchildren who stop terrorism and other illegal activities, the show’s writing feels surprisingly grounded, and has a very fun feel thanks to its characters.
2) Classroom of the Elite S2
Season 2 of this psychological thriller sees the main character using his wits and intellect to make sure he rises above everyone else, even if he needs to use his classmates to get the objectives done.
3) Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun
With our main cast now deep into the layers of the crater, they soon realise that things are starting to get really dire. More than ever, they ‘ll need to do everything they can in order to survive the depths.
4) Uncle From Another World
If you’re tired of the usual isekai shows, here’s a different take on the genre, where the main character has just returned to the real world after being away on an isekai adventure for 17 years. The show does away with the usual isekai formula and instead focuses on the protagonist’s struggle to readjust to regular life, all while being super funny and witty.
5) Call of the Night
Kou, a boy who loves going for walks at night, runs into and befriends a vampire. Instead of fearing her, he reveals that he too wants to become a vampire! In order to become one though, not only does he need to be bitten by a vampire, but he’ll need to fall in love with her as well.
6) Overlord S4
With Nazarick revealed to the world, Ainz-sama is now looking to make his mark and to show everyone why he is the greatest overlord.
