KADOKAWA Game Linkage Inc. have released SHINONOME ABYSS: The Maiden Exorcist on Steam and Nintendo Switch. The game, a strategic rogue-like horror title, is the second release from an indie game series project between KADOKAWA Game Linkage and ABC Animation.
In SHINONOME ABYSS: The Maiden Exorcists, you play as Yono, a Miko (Maiden Exorcist) who is searching for her missing exorcist brother, and must take on a mansion where many mononoke (ghosts) are lurking within. Sound plays a crucial rule the game, as players can identify mononoke by listening to the sounds they make, and lure them into traps using Yono’s voice.
SHINONOME was brought to life by an all-star team of creators, including game designer Kenichi Iwao (Resident Evil, EINHÄNDER), character designer Tatsuya Yoshikawa (Devil May Cry 4 and 5), and programmer Hiroshi Ogino (Fate/Grand Order). The game encourages players to develop strategies through careful observation, with players being able to overcome environmental challenges by taking advantage of the mononokes’ unique abilities.
The game is now available on Steam and the Nintendo Switch for $14,99, with a 10% launch discount until April 8. It currently supports Japanese, English, and Chinese (Simplified, Traditional).
