Isekat: Crushed by a Computer, My Beloved Kitten is Transported to a Fantasy World where its Typing Skills Save the Kingdom! is the complete title of this brand-new typing game from Singapore-based indie studio InSpite. Now say that five times real quick.
In the game, you play as a cat who was unexpectedly dies after getting crushed by a computer, only to be transported to a fantasy world of swords, magic, and anthropomorphic animals! As the hero summoned from another world, you venture forth with your trusty keyboard and use your typing skills to save the cat kingdom from certain doom.
In these randomly generated dungeons, you do everything with the keyboard. From attacking enemies and blocking attacks, to opening chests and mowing down catnip, fast typing and reflexes are essential as you race against the clock to save the hostages.
As you progress through each area, enemies with new attack patterns and longer words emerge. This is where mastery of your keyboard becomes essential, from timing the perfect block with your space bar, to typing out the correct words quickly without any typos. Even then, pure skill is not enough.
The only way to improve your skills is by rebuilding the cat kingdom. Save all five hostages in each area, then use catnip to pay off the scraggly Bobcat the Builder for his construction services. Rebuilding homes and structures around the kingdom will unlock permanent buffs, such as increasing damage dealt and the number of health items at the start of each run.
From there, the rest is up to you. Take down the lords of the Dog, Bird, and Reptile Kingdoms, but none of them fight fair. From a dog princess that overwhelms you with attacks from her servants, to a peacock who fights with theatrical flair, each one tests your typing skills in new and fresh ways. For fans of typing games, this one is sure to present a fun challenge.
