Abnormal Studios have revealed more details for Because of You Ka Kui, a cinematic tribute and music event film produced by Yip Sai Wing and Leslie Chan, and directed by Rosa Pang. The title was officially launched at the 30th Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART).
Because of You Ka Kui is a big-screen musical tribute experience dedicated to the life, music, and artistic spirit of Wong Ka Kui, the visionary frontman of the influential Canto-rock band Beyond. Featuring rare concert footage, never-before-seen archival materials, and unreleased works, this music event film invites audiences to rediscover Wong Ka Kui through the enduring power of his beliefs, artistry, and cultural impact.
The film is scheduled for release in Malaysia in June 2026, building momentum towards Wong Ka Kui’s birthday on 10 June. The film will also roll out across Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, and Brunei, with additional territories to be announced soon.
