The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows is officially returning for a second season. The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser visual and promotional video, though no release date was given for the second season.
The series is an adaptation of a light novel series of the same name, written by Sakaku Hishikawa and illustrated by Daburyu. The story follows Zenos, an unlicensed healer who was cast out by his adventuring party. Despite this, he uses his remarkable abilities to open an underground clinic that gradually brings him fame.
The light novel version of The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows was originally published online in 2020, and received a print run in 2021. Aside from its 2025 anime adaptation, the series has also been adapted into a manga and webtoon.
