GSC International Screens is continuing its commitment to showcasing world cinema by bringing Scarlet, the latest animated fantasy action film from award winning director, Mamoru Hosoda to Malaysian audiences in collaboration with Sony Pictures Classics.
Mamoru Hosoda, the creative force behind Belle, Wolf Children and Mirai, now Scarlet, draws inspiration from Shakespeare’s Hamlet while weaving in the emotional depth and visual poetry of Japanese storytelling.
Scarlet follows a courageous young princess with the ability to cross time and space, embarking on a powerful journey of vengeance, destiny and self-discovery after the murder of her father.
