The Ramparts of Ice is set to arrive on Netflix this April 2, with new episodes releasing weekly. Fans recently got their first look at the anime series through a newly released poster and main trailer.
The series is based on a popular manga of the same name by Kocha Agasawa, which follows Koyuki Hikawa, a socially withdrawn student who keeps an emotional wall between herself and others. However, her quiet life is changed forever when her best friend Miki Azumi, an outgoing boy named Minato Amamiya, and basketball player Yota Hino begin to draw her out of her shell.
The original manga series received 160 million total views on the LINE Manga digital service, and sold over 1.94 million copies through Shueisha Jump Comics. The anime’s voice cast stars Anna Nagase as Koyuki Hikawa, Fuka Izumi as Miki Azumi, Shoya Chiba as Minato Amamiya, and Satoshi Inomata as Yota Hino.
