Tiny Roar, developers of the upcoming Lou’s Lagoon, and Megabit, the publishing arm of Aonic, today unveiled Verdant, a coming-of-age survival adventure that follows Sprout, a young adventurer emerging into a world reshaped by war.
Revealed during the Wholesome Snack showcase, Verdant blends resourceful survival and player agency within a vibrant yet dangerous world reclaimed by nature.
In Verdant, players traverse a lush, post-apocalyptic landscape where mutated flora and fauna flourish and remnants of 1980s human culture linger untouched. As Sprout sets out in search of food, loot and a sense of his place in the world, he discovers a miraculous infection has armed him with remarkable powers that allow him to give or take life essence from nature.
As a result, he must balance his need to survive against his impact on the environment, forcing players into difficult, in-the-moment choices that can help Sprout endure or leave lasting marks on the world around him.
