Granblue Fantasy will officially release on Steam this March 10, 2026. The news was first revealed during Granblue Fantasy Fes 2025, Cygames’ annual celebration of its wildly popular JRPG.
First released in 2014, Granblue Fantasy is a free-to-play game originally developed for browsers and mobile devices. Players take on the role of an adventurer named Gran or Djeeta, who journeys across floating islands while recruiting new crew members and discovering hidden secrets about their world.
The game has received a number of anime and manga adaptations, as well as two spinoff games: the fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, and the action-RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Despite its popularity, the game was never released outside of Japan until now, though English-language support was released in 2016.
The upcoming Steam version of Granblue Fantasy will rework the game’s current vertical layout into a 16:9 layout more suited for PC gaming, and will feature both English and Japanese-language support. It’s also important to note that existing players will not be able to link their accounts to the Steam version, and will need to start a new game in order to play.
