The update, which went live on December 16 introduces dynamic weather systems that do more than just change the scenery.
A Deadlier Shade of White
The “Cold Snap” isn’t just a visual makeover. While players will notice frost buildup and frozen lakes across iconic maps like the Dam Battlegrounds and The Blue Gate, the real threat lies in the air itself.
A new Frostbite mechanic has been introduced, forcing Raiders to keep a close eye on their health bars as the freezing temperatures slowly drain their vitality. Survival now requires more than just dodging ARC machines; it requires tactical planning, seeking shelter, and coordinating heals with teammates to survive the trek to extraction.
New Ways to Play (and Look Cool)
For those looking to expand their roster, the update brings significant additions to the game’s progression:
- The Goalie Raider Deck: Launching December 26, this second deck is free for all players. It features hockey-inspired gear, including a hockey stick tool and themed outfits, and is a permanent addition to the game.
- The Expedition Project: For veteran Raiders looking for a fresh start, a new “seasonal reset” option is available. By building a Caravan and departing on an expedition, players can start a new journey with exclusive buffs and rewards that carry over from their previous life.
Seasonal Events
To keep the community warm during the month-long event (running through January 13, 2026), two limited-time challenges have been added:
