Umamusume creators Cygames have renewed their partnership with Breeders’ Cup Limited, the organisers of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The highly anticipated Championships will take place from October 31 to November 1 at California’s Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, featuring a prize pool worth over $34 million.
The Cygames partnership follows a successful collaboration from 2024, which saw the company providing marketing support for the Championships in conjunction with the English launch of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Cygames will also continue as the name-in-title partner of the $2 million Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint, which will see the company’s logo featured on the starting gate and saddle towels of the contending horses.

Heather Higgins, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for Breeders’ Cup Limited, commented: “We are very pleased to continue and expand our partnership with Cygames. This enhanced collaboration demonstrates both of our organizations’ shared commitment to delivering world-class entertainment and elevating the sport of horse racing to a global audience.”
Cygames are no stranger to collaborating with real-life horse racing events. Aside from the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the company has previously worked with the Kentucky Derby in the United States, and the Grand Prix de Paris in France, among many others.
