SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 is set to be be held in Malaysia for the very first time, taking place at KLCC from December 3-6, 2026. The event, which will follow the upcoming 2025 iteration in Hong Kong, is regarded as one of the world’s largest and most influential annual conferences on computer graphics and interactive techniques.
The news was first revealed at the ASEAN Digital Content Summit 2024, where Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong issued a keynote address. In his speech, he stated that the event will be supported by the Malaysia MADANI government as part of an effort to strengthen the national digital ecosystem, with the event hosting rights serving as a testament to Malaysia’s vision for a sustainable and inclusive digital future.
Frank Guan, the SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 Conference Chair, shared in a statement: “SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 will mark a new milestone as it takes place in Kuala Lumpur for the first time, expanding the conference’s footprint and welcoming fresh perspectives. This edition promises to enrich our community by fostering new connections and enhancing the experience for all attendees.”
The conference aims to create new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and investment in Malaysia’s growing creative technology sector, with over 3,000 industry professionals from Asia, the United States, and Europe expected to attend. SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 is co-organised by Koelnmesse and the Association for Computing Machinery.
