Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, a spin-off of the wildly popular manga series Jujutsu Kaisen, has officially launched in issue 41 of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. International readers can now read the new manga in English via Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website and app, with new chapters being updated weekly.
The series will feature a new story from manga author Gege Akutami, with art by Yuji Iwasaki. Set 68 years after the Shinjuku Showdown from the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga series, the story will follow Tsugiri and Yuuki Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 characters Yuta and Maki, as they encounter an alien race known as the Simurians.
According to Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is intended to be a short-term series running for about half a year, or around three volumes. It follows the success of the original Jujutsu Kaisen, which is one of the highest-earning manga of all time at over 7 million volumes sold.
